FAQs
Does gel polish ruin my nails?
Product will never damage your nails, 99% of the time the reason your nails feel weak, fragile and paper thin after getting your nails done is down to poor application and removal of product. If product is being applied and removed correctly your nails should be strong and healthy. Electric files should only ever be used on top of product (eg gel, acrylic etc) by a trained professional and never used on the natural nail. Your natural nail plate only requires a very light buff over to adhere to product.
What are Gel Extensions?
Gel extensions are a full ‘nail’ made out of gel, applied with gel. Therefore they are 100% soak off just like gel. They add instant length and can be shortened and shaped to any length and shape. Great for getting instant length for events, special occasions or if you just prefer longer nails! Also great to start the process off of growing out your own natural nails.
Why do my nails hurt when I get them done?
Your nails should never hurt or be tender after getting them done! This means that damage has been done to your nail plate. They should always feel ‘normal’ after correct application of product.
What is the difference between shellac and gel?
Complelty the same. Shellac is just a brand name, it is gel. Shellac was one of the first brands to become well known when gel evolved.
What is BIAB?
Builder In A Bottle (BIAB) is a thicker viscosity of gel, it applies just like gel, cured like gel and is removed like gel, it is just thicker, this gives strength to the nail plate and also adds extra adhesion making your gel polish last that little bit longer.

My nails keep breaking and product just comes off them, what can you do?
There are a few things I can do to help promote healthy nail growth, BIAB for strength. This will help the nail become stronger but the only way to repair your nails fully is to let all the damaged nail grow out complelty. Having good product on the nails whilst growing out your nails will not effect the new nail growth at all. Using a good cuticle oil and hand cream daily is also essential to helping your nails grow healthy and strong.
SNS lasts so much longer on my nails then gel, why is this?
Most forms of SNS are acrylic powder and super glue. This is why it lasts so long - but as you can imagine, not the best for your nails! It is portrayed as amazing for your nails however the main glue ingredient put onto your nails first is Ethyl 2-cyanoacrylate (85%-100%) which is the main ingredient of super glue. Then dipped into acrylic powder.
